EL PROYECTO
No hay nada más vivificante que la incertidumbre. Sólo desde la incertidumbre hay algo nuevo que decir. Por eso El Anhelo Celeste es diferente, en forma y contenido, a cualquier otra obra. Trascendiendo la naturaleza humana desde dentro, con veintidós cosmogonías que encuentran su formato en veintidós cartas (ilustración en la cara, poema en la cruz) que poseen un vínculo referencial con el misticismo de los veintidós Arcanos Mayores del Tarot.
Hay reminiscencias de la Ópera Réquiem, 2017, en cuanto a que se reincide en el Libro de las Revelaciones, congregando la mística, el ritual poético y potenciando, esta vez, una perspectiva más esotérica que haga partícipe al lector a través de la baraja, invitándole a un rito de inmersión.
¿Un audiolibro? ¿un poemario? ¿un lienzo? Nada de eso, estrictamente, sino todo a la vez: poesía que se toca, música que se ve e ilustraciones que se oyen durante un viaje que va del Uno al Uno, pasando por el Todo. Un viaje extático. Un anhelo celeste.
Partiendo de la premisa de que un libro puede contenerlo todo, no queremos catalogar el género del mismo dado su carácter extraordinario. En cualquier caso, podría describirse como un híbrido de tres disciplinas: poesía, música e ilustración. Una suerte de libro que no se rige por los cánones editoriales oficiales.
El soporte físico se compone de una caja rectangular, que servirá a su vez de receptáculo para albergar varios elementos: por un lado el prólogo del libro (a modo de políptico desplegable); por otro, las veintidós cartas ilustradas en el anverso con cada uno de los poemas en el reverso y finalmente un código QR que enlace con una plataforma virtual desde la que descargar y escuchar todas las composiciones creadas en esta obra.
THE PROJECT
There is nothing more exhilarating than uncertainty. It is only out of uncertainty that there is something new to say. For this reason, The Celestial Longing is different, both in form and content, from any other work. Going beyond human nature from the inside, twenty two cosmogonies find their form in twenty two cards (illustration on one side, poem on the other) which correspond to the states of consciousness which the Major Arcana of the Tarot represent.
It is reminiscent of the Opera Requiem, 2017, since it also deals with The Book of Revelations, combining music and poetic ritual. This time making the esoteric perspective more powerful by involving the reader through the deck of cards, inviting him or her to the rite of immersion.
Is it an audiobook, a book of poems, or a canvas? None of them exactly, but all of them at the same time: it is poetry that can be played, music that can be seen and illustrations that can be listened to during a journey that goes from One to One and in its way through All, an ecstatic journey, a celestial longing.
Moving away from the idea that a book can contain everything, we do not want to classify its genre due to its extraordinary characteristics. In any case, it could be described as a hybrid of three disciplines: poetry, music and illustration. It is the sort of book which is not ruled by the official publishing standards.
The book itself is a rectangular box, which will be used as the receptacle for several objects: on one side is the prologue of the book (as a foldable polyptych), and, on the other are twenty two letters with the illustrations on the front and the poems on the back. Finally, there is a QR code that sends you to a website to download and listen to all the compositions created in this work.
